Following Arsenal’s commanding 3-0 triumph over Bournemouth at the weekend, captain Martin Odegaard showered praise on Declan Rice, acknowledging the midfielder’s pivotal role in the victory.
Odegaard, Arsenal’s captain, expressed admiration for Rice’s exceptional performance, noting his seamless integration into the team since his record-breaking £105 million transfer from West Ham last summer.
Rice’s standout moment came with a late goal, sealing Arsenal’s victory alongside earlier strikes from Bukayo Saka and Leandro Trossard.
Notably, Rice’s exquisite assist to Trossard showcased his diverse skill set, earning him the prestigious man-of-the-match award.
Ian Wright, a revered figure in Arsenal’s history, lauded Rice’s contribution, describing it as “unbelievable” and attributing it to Arsenal’s success in maintaining their top spot in the Premier League.
Odegaard, inemphasized agreement with Wright, Rice’s evolution, highlighting his increased proficiency in scoring and assisting goals.

“To come to a new club is never easy but he’s just come in the most natural way,” Odegaard told Sky Sports.
“The way he’s playing, adding goals and assists as well now, so I think he’s taken his game to another level and we’re so lucky to have him.
