He misses goalscoring opportunities – Ex-Chelsea striker, Chris Sutton blasts Super Eagles attacker

Former Chelsea striker, Chris Sutton has taken aim at Super Eagles attacker Cyriel Dessers, highlighting his tendency to squander goal-scoring chances, which could jeopardize Rangers’ pursuit of the Scottish Premiership title.

Sutton expressed concern that Dessers’ inefficiency in front of goal might prove costly for Rangers as they aim for their first title since the 2020/2021 season.

Despite playing the full 90 minutes in Sunday’s match against Rangers Kilmarnock, Dessers failed to find the back of the net, adding to the scrutiny surrounding his performance since joining Ibrox.

Speaking to Sky Sports via Rangers News, Sutton remarked, “The point Kris makes about Dessers, and he has banged on about it all season, he does miss opportunities.

“He had two or three opportunities in this game to go first time. Most natural finishers would do that. He is always trying to chop back.”

Sutton emphasized the significance of the upcoming game, stressing that the outcome could hinge on Dessers’ ability to seize decisive moments and convert chances, potentially influencing whether Rangers emerge victorious or suffer defeat.
