Despite Manchester United’s demoralizing 4-0 loss to Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Monday, the Old Trafford club has no intentions of parting ways with manager Erik ten Hag prior to their FA Cup final encounter against Manchester City later this month, Mail Sport reports.
Despite mounting pressure on Ten Hag, particularly with Man United’s precarious European qualification hopes for the next season, the Red Devils remains steadfast in their support for the Dutchman.
Sources suggest that the decision not to dismiss Ten Hag before the crucial FA Cup final is grounded in the belief that such a move would yield no tangible benefits, especially with four important matches, including the final, still to be played in the ongoing campaign.
While a victory over City in the FA Cup final might bolster Ten Hag’s position and potentially secure him a third season in charge, the final verdict on his tenure will only be made after the outcome of the Wembley clash.
Ten Hag joined Man United from Ajax in 2022.
