UCL: Real Madrid’s three goals against Bayern Munich came from mistakes – Paul Scholes

Manchester United legend, Paul Scholes, has voiced his critique of Real Madrid’s performance in their semi-final clash against Bayern Munich, attributing three of the four goals conceded by the Bavarians to errors.

Speaking after Madrid’s come-from-behind victory of 2-1 in the second leg on Wednesday, Scholes highlighted the significance of mistakes in determining the outcome.

Despite Bayern leading with Alphonso Davies’ goal, two quick strikes from Joselu turned the tide in favour of Carlo Ancelotti’s side.

Scholes emphasized the unpredictability of Real Madrid’s prowess, acknowledging their ability to capitalize on opponents’ errors, while also questioning the tactical decisions made during the match.

“If you look over the two legs, three of Madrid’s goals came from mistakes. The manager can’t always legislate for that.

“We don’t think the subs were right, but this is Real Madrid, you can’t rule them out – this is what they do,” Scholes said on TNT Sports.
