Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has joked that they had signed “the best winger on the planet” when they brought in Josko Gvardiol last summer.
Gvardiola, who had arrived from RB Leipzig, scored a beace as City thrashed Fulham on Saturday.
The Croatia international has now scored five goals in the title run-in for the champions.
When asked about the defender’s form, Guardiola told BBC Radio: “The first goal… we signed the best winger on the planet!
“After Wolves, three days off, he was the only one who went to the training centre for his recovery.
“We made an incredible signing for many, many years to come.”
