1. Celtic sealed a 54th Scottish league title in style with a 5-0 win at Kilmarnock on Wednesday to move six points clear of Rangers with just one game remaining. Celtic only needed a point at Rugby Park as goals from Adam Idah, Daizen Maeda,  James Forrest and Matt O’Riley gave the Hoops all three points.

2. Nepal cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane has been cleared of raping an 18-year-old woman after a hearing at an appeal court. The 23-year-old, was found guilty of the charge in December 2023 and sentenced to eight years in prison in January 2024, was acquitted on Wednesday after hearing his appeal in the Nepalese city of Lalitpur.

3. Juventus beat Atalanta 1-0 to win a record-extending 15th Coppa Italia as an early strike by Dusan Vlahovic earned Massimiliano Allegri’s side their first trophy in three years. Juve, who hold both the record for most Italian Cup finals played (22) and won (15), had not lifted any silverware since they won the competition in 2020-21, when they also beat Atalanta in the final.


4. Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry is the winner of the 2023-24 Magic Johnson Award, the Professional Basketball Writers Association announced Wednesday.The award is voted on by more than 200 writers and editors who belong to the PBWA and honors the NBA player who excels both on the court and in displaying “cooperation and grace in dealing with the media and fans,” according to the organization.

5. Bayer Leverkusen striker, Victor Boniface has won the Bundesliga Rookie of the Season award. Boniface scored the highest number of votes in a contest that also involved three other players – Xavi Simons, Ian Maatsen, and Maximilian Beier.
