British broadcaster, Piers Morgan has taken a swipe at departing Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp.
According to Morgan, winning one Premier League title in eight years doesn’t put Klopp among elite coaches.
Klopp will leave Liverpool after the final games in the Premier League this Sunday.
The German spent nine-year in the Premier League during which he helped the Reds win a Premier League title in 2019-20 campaign.
It was Liverpool’s first title in 30 years and as he also the UEFA Champions League trophy.
Reacting to an image on X showing Jurgen Klopp standing in the middle of Anfield and being dubbed one of the ‘Premier League greats’, Morgan said:
“I don’t think winning one League title in 8 yrs makes you a Premier League great.”
