Arsenal head coach, Mikel Arteta has given reasons for his team’s recent drop in performances.
Arteta’s side started this year (2024) on a good note, winning eleven games and drawing one, before back-to-back defeats.
The Gunners were recently defeated 2-0 at Emirates Stadium against Aston Villa in the Premier League.
They also lost 1-0 to Bayern Munich in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League quarter-final.
However, speaking at his pre-match press conference ahead of Arsenal’s Premier League tie with Wolves on Saturday, Arteta blamed himself and also the quality of their opposition.
“Sometimes it’s the opponent. The opponents play very good and you have to congratulate them,” the Spainaird said.
“Sometimes it will be my fault as well, not changing anything or making the right call.”
Arsenal currently sit in second position on the Premier League table behind leaders Manchester City.
