Nigeria goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali has sparked discussions about his future by mentioning Manchester United and Real Madrid.
Nwabali said this while updating fans on his status with South African club Chippa United.
The 27-year-old clarified that no concrete offers are on the table yet, despite rumours linking him to potential moves to clubs in Europe, Asia, and South Africa this summer transfer window.
Speaking to reporters on Wednesday ahead of Nigeria’s 2026 World Cup qualifier against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa on Friday, Nwabali said: “I really wish leaving but at this point there’s no club, I don’t really need to force it because If I can put up any performance with Chippa United in my national team, it doesn’t change anything if I’m in Manchester United or if I’m in Real Madrid.
“I will leave if there’s a club but I stick to my club if there’s no club.”
