Iwobi names his ultimate dream Super Eagles’ starting XI, snubs Okocha [Full list]

Fulham star, Alex Iwobi has named his ultimate dream Super Eagles’ starting XI.

Iwobi didn’t include Nigeria legend Austin Jay Jay Okocha, who is his uncle, in the list.

The starting XI composed mainly of players he has shared the field with during his senior international career with the national team.

In an interview with Victor Modo at the Super Eagles camp in Uyo ahead of Nigeria’s World Cup qualifier against South Africa, Iwobi selected former Wolves shot-stopper Carl Ikeme as the goalkeeper in a 4-3-3 formation.

In defense, the former Arsenal and Everton star chose Efe Ambrose and 2023 Africa Cup of Nations Best Player William Troost-Ekong as the center-backs, with Ola Aina as right-back and Elderson Echiejile on the left.

The midfield trio consists of Chelsea legend John Obi Mikel, former Lazio star Ogenyi Onazi, and Leicester City’s Wilfred Ndidi.

Leading the attack, Iwobi picked the reigning African Footballer of the Year, Victor Osimhen, flanked by Victor Moses and Ademola Lookman.
