    After a roaring start, their old rivals piled up 201-7 before England’s batters fell away badly in their pursuit.
  4. George Russell took pole position from Max Verstappen for the Canadian Grand Prix despite the pair setting identical times in a thrilling qualifying.
    Russell set his 1:12.000 before Verstappen to take his second career pole in F1 and Mercedes’ first since last year’s Hungarian Grand Prix.
  5. Brighton have identified 31-year-old St Pauli boss Fabian Hurzeler as the leading contender to replace Roberto de Zerbi as manager. The clubs are in talks and Brighton have already secured a work permit for him.
