FA Cup: Man Utd, Coventry clash just cost you your job – Carragher to Ten Hag

Jamie Carragher, a former Liverpool player, has predicted that Manchester United’s shaky victory over Coventry City in the FA Cup semi-final clash will ultimately cost Erik ten Hag his job as the club’s manager.

In the game, Man United had built a comfortable 3-0 lead through goals from Harry Maguire, Scott McTominay, and Bruno Fernandes.

However, the Championship side staged a stunning comeback, scoring three goals in the final 20 minutes to level the match.

United eventually won the game on penalties but Carragher believes that the overall performance was poor and that the dressing room would not be happy.

He added that he doesn’t see any progress under Ten Hag and that the Dutchman’s job is now in jeopardy.

“I think that result has just cost Erik ten Hag his job,” Carragher said on Sky Sports.

“I don’t see how he stays, I really don’t.

“It’s just poor performance after poor performance. That dressing room is probably the most embarrassed dressing room from a team that has just won a big game.

“You can’t even celebrate that win. Maybe that can somehow win the final but I just don’t see any progress.”
