Messi names ‘last club’ he’ll play for before retirement

Argentina captain, Lionel Messi has insisted that Inter Miami will be “the last club” he plays for before he decides to retire from professional football.

Messi joined the Major League Soccer, MLS, club in 2023 after leaving Paris Saint-Germain as a free agent.

The 36-year-old’s contract with Inter Miami will expire at the end of 2025.

“I’m not prepared to leave football, I did this all my life, I enjoy the trainings, the games,” Messi told ESPN Argentina.

“The fear that everything is gonna be over it is always there.

“I think Inter Miami is going to be my last club.”
