Manchester United have reportedly reached an agreement on personal terms with Everton’s Jarrad Branthwaite, paving the way for a potential summer transfer.
The Red Devils are now set to settle on a transfer fee with Everton, who are demanding £70 million for the 21-year-old England international, as reported by The Times.
This acquisition would mark a significant addition for Man United, particularly following Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s endorsement of Branthwaite as his top choice for a new central defender this summer.
Branthwaite has made a strong impression at Everton, having already clocked 54 appearances since joining the first team.
The report added that Man United’s new technical director, Jason Wilcox, may have facilitated the agreement on personal terms, thanks to his close relationship with Branthwaite’s agent, David Reeves.
