Argentina captain, Lionel Messi has expressed his delight over his country’s Copa America 2-0 victory over Canada on Thursday night.
The Inter Miami forward played all 90 minutes as d as La Albiceleste defeated Canada in their Copa America opener.
Messi was impressive during the encounter as goals from Julian Alvarez and Lautaro Martinez gave Argentina all three points against Canada.
Reacting, Messi took to his Instagram story and posted: “First step,” alongside a picture of himself with his teammates.
Argentina’s next game is against Chile on Tuesday.
