Manchester United legend, Wayne Rooney has warned England manager Gareth Southgate that attacking midfielder Jude Bellingham is frustrated amid the ongoing Euro 2024.
Rooney spoke ahead of England’s Euro 2024 Round of 16 clash with Slovakia on Sunday.
“Jude starts the first game well but I’m sure he’d tell you himself he has not the best games in the last two games,” Rooney said on the BBC’s Football Daily podcast.
“For me he is looked very frustrated, I have been there exactly the position he’s in, even the game yesterday, you saw him throwing his arms up in the air.”
Southgate had already said he will speak privately with Bellingham in order to get the best out of the Real Madrid player ahead of England’s clash with Slovakia this weekend.
Bellingham has one goal at the Euro 2024 so far.
He will hope to lead Southgate’s men to victory against Slovakia.
