New Super Eagles coach: NFF not Nigerian govt will pay salary

The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, will pay the new Nigeria’s Super Eagles head coach from its own purse.

According to a report in SCORENigeria, the Federal Government of Nigeria has made it very clear to the NFF that it won’t pay the salaries of the new Super Eagles coach.

“The Federal Government will not pay the new coach of the Super Eagles, that’s the responsibility of the NFF,” one top official told the aforementioned Newspaper.

“This position will therefore go a long way in determining who is eventually hired to lead the Super Eagles.”

The NFF is yet to appoint a new substantive head coach for the Super Eagles.

Nigeria Sports Minister, John Enoh revealed last week that a new coach will be appointed for the Super Eagles in the next two weeks.

Three coaches, Emmanuel Amuneke, Domenec Torrent and Antonio Conceicao are reportedly in the running for the Super Eagles coaching job.
