  2. Maia Bouchier struck her maiden international century as England thrashed New Zealand by eight wickets at Worcester. The 25-year-old opener hit the winning runs in a chase of just 142 which also brought up her hundred from 88 balls.
  3. Tadej Pogacar moved into the leader’s yellow jersey as France’s Kevin Vauquelin won stage two of the Tour de France. Vauquelin took his first Grand Tour stage victory after breaking away from the front group, making the Arkea-B&B Hotels rider the second French winner of the 2024 race already.
  4. Defending champion Carlos Alcaraz says it feels “more special” to return to Wimbledon as he prepares to open play on Centre Court when the tournament starts on Monday. Spain’s Alcaraz, now 21, beat seven-time champion Novak Djokovic in last year’s final, despite it being only his fourth grass-court tournament.
  5. Dina Asher-Smith confirmed her place at the Paris 2024 Olympics as she beat Daryll Neita to the British 200m title at the UK Athletics Championships. Asher-Smith, 28, ran a championship record 22.18 seconds to finish ahead of Neita, who had already confirmed her inclusion in Team GB by winning 100m gold on Saturday.
