Everton will replace Amadou Onana with Leicester City’s Wilfred Ndidi if the Belgian midfielder leaves the club this summer.
Ndidi’s contract with Leicester has run out and the Nigeria international look set to leave after seven year at King Power Stadium.
According to Sky Sports journalist, Dan Bardell, Ndidi will join the Toffees if Onana departs Goodison Park.
Onana has been linked with Arsenal, Barcelona and Manchester United this summer.
“From a financial perspective, it would be good business, signing him on a free transfer. Ndidi is a midfield destroyer.
“I think if Onana was sold and he came in they could shape the squad better in other positions with the finances and that would be positive business,” Bardell said in quotes reported by Goodison News.
Ndidi has also been linked with Sevilla, Galatasaray, Aston Villa, Barcelona and Trabzonspor.
