Colombia are now through to the semifinals for the third time in four editions.
They will play y Uruguay, who eliminated Brazil in a penalty shootout later on Saturday, in Charlotte, North Carolina, on Wednesday.
Defending champions Argentina will face Canada in the other semi-final in New Jersey on Tuesday.
