Real Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti has given the reason why the club decision not to sign Victor Osimhen from Napoli last summer.
Osimhen was linked with some top European clubs, including Real Madrid last summer.
The Nigeria international scored 26 goals in 32 games to help Napoli win the Scudetto.
Real Madrid lost their top striker, Karim Benzema, who left the club for Saudi Arabia side, Al Ittihad.
However, according to Ancelotti, signing Jude Bellingham has compensated for Benzema’s departure, ruling out a move for Osimhen.
Ancelotti told Radio Serie A: “No (we didn’t sign Osimhen) because I think the club thought that Benzema’s absence could be remedied by purchasing (Jude) Bellingham.”
