Barcelona has reportedly shown interest in Chelsea attacking midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka and may make a bid to sign him this summer.
Chukwuemeka was previously a target for the Spanish La Liga giants before his move to Stamford Bridge in 2022.
Despite being an England U21 star, he has found it difficult to establish himself in Mauricio Pochettino’s team, with only nine Premier League appearances this season.
According to talkSPORT, Barcelona sees Chukwuemeka’s lack of game time as an opportunity to persuade him to join them in Catalan club.
However, the midfield is already packed with talented players such as Pedri, Frenkie de Jong, Gavi, Oriol Romeu, Fermín López, and İlkay Gündoğan, making it a challenge for Chukwuemeka to break into the team if he does join.
It is currently unclear if Chelsea is willing to sell Chukwuemeka to fund their squad’s reinforcement, particularly in the attacking position where they are looking to sign a striker.
