1.Chelsea are investigating a video posted on social media by midfielder Enzo Fernandez that the French Football Federation says includes an alleged “racist and discriminatory” chant. On Tuesday the FFF said it would file a complaint to world governing body Fifa over the video featuring a song sung by some of the Argentina squad about France’s players.

  1. Real Madrid on Tuesday officially unveiled Kylian Mbappe as their new player. The France captain signed a five-year contract with the Spanish LaLiga champions as a free agent after leaving Paris Saint-Germain following the expiration of his contract this summer.
  2. Gareth Southgate officially resigned as manager of the England national team on Tuesday. Southgate took the decision after he failed to win the Euro 2024 with England as the Three Lions lost 2-1 against Spain in the final in Berlin, Germany.
  3. Scotland ended their Euro 2025 qualifying group campaign unbeaten after a narrow win over Serbia that secures their promotion to League A of the Nations League. Both sides had already booked their places in the play-offs for next summer’s tournament in Switzerland, but the top spot and undefeated tag was up for grabs.
  4. England have recalled pace bowler Mark Wood to their XI for the second Test against West Indies at Trent Bridge, starting on Thursday. Wood takes the place of the retired James Anderson, who ended his record-breaking career following the huge win in the first Test at Lord’s.
