Chelsea head coach, Enzo Maresca has chosen Robert Sanchez as his first-choice goalkeeper for the 2024/25 Premier League season.
This is despite Djordje Petrovic’s fine form for Chelsea towards the end of last season.
Petrovic emerged as the preferred goalkeeper under former Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino after Sanchez suffered an ankle injury.
However, with Maresca now in charge at Stamford Bridge, the goalkeeping situation has taken a different turn.
According to The Telegraph, Maresca prefers Sanchez for the role of starting goalkeeper.
Sanchez , 26, is believed to be more suited to Maresca’s style as he has proven his capability to play out from the back in training.
