Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola has admitted that he would love to keep midfielder James McAtee at the club amid the player’s future at Etihad.
McAtee spent last season out on loan at Sheffield United.
But Guardiola is keen to keep the England U21 international at City for the upcoming 2024/25 season.
“I’d love to have James McAtee and to keep him next season,” Guardiola said as Man City lost 4-3 against Celtic in a pre-season tie.
“He’s special guy to play in small spaces, in the pockets, we don’t have many. I have a high, high opinion of McAtee and I also know his huge potential.”
