Manchester United forward Joshua Zirkzee came off the bench to score the winning goal on his debut for the club as the Red Devils defeated Fulham 1-0 on Friday.
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag started captain Bruno Fernandes in a false nine position against Fulham, as United kick off their Premier League campaign.
However, Fernandes missed two big chances, as Ten Hag’s side tried to make their dominance count against the visitors.
Ten Hag then introduced Zirkzee in the second half and the former Bologna star proved to be decisive.
Zirkzee ghosted into the box of Fulham to finish off a fine passing move.
Meanwhile, Alejandro Garnacho miss a gilt-edged chance late on at Old Trafford as Man United ended up beating Fulham.
Ten Hag’s side will now face Brighton in an away Premier League tie next Saturday.
