Chelsea head coach, Enzo Maresca, has demanded more consistency from Noni Madueke, following their 2-0 win over Servette in the UEFA Conference League play-off on Thursday.
Madueke came off the bench to score the second goal after Christopher Nkunku opened the scoring from the penalty spot.
Maresca has now told reporters that he likes Madueke as a player, but called on him to produce more if he is to feature prominently.
The Italian said: “I really like Noni, the only problem with him is that he needs to understand he needs to be consistent during the week. In every training session.
“He’s a good player and he’s doing well with us since we started.
“I really like the player but as I said until the transfer window closes, anything can happen. But for sure he is the kind of player that I like.”
