Gareth Southgate has landed his first job since stepping down as England manager following Euro 2024 this summer.
The 53-year-old Englishman resigned after eight years in charge after losing the final 2-1 to Spain.
However, Southgate will not be out of work for too long, after UEFA gave him a new appointment ahead of the start of this year’s Champions League.
Southgate has joined UEFA as a technical observer ahead of the 2024-25 Champions League.
As part of the job, he will attend matches and provide his insight to UEFA’s analysts in their hub in Nyon, Switzerland.
He will also file full reports to UEFA, assessing games, tactics and individual performances.
The reformatted Champions League begins on September 17.
