Former Chelsea player, Craig Burley has hit out at attacker Nicolas Jackson for his display in the Blues’ Premier League 5-0 defeat against Arsenal at the Emirates on Tuesday.
Burley said it is crystal clear that the Senegalese international is not a good finisher after his performances in Chelsea’s defeat to the Gunners.
Arsenal hammered Mauricio Pochettino’s side, following goals from Leandro Trossard, Kai Havertz (2) and Ben White (2).
Jackson had two brilliant opportunities to score for Chelsea, one in each half, but missed them both.
And Burley is not pleased with Jackson’s lack of finishing ability.
“It’s crystal clear that he [Jackson] is not a natural finisher. But there’s no real other facets to his game that are advantageous as well,” Burley said on ESPN FC.
“He’s quick, but when you are not a really good finisher, there has to be other factors as well.
“When you are looking at players to sign them for a club, he may not score 30 goals a season, maybe he will score only 15, but there has to be other parts to his game that he is going to bring to this team.”
