Portugal captain, Cristiano Ronaldo, has insisted he doesn’t need to win the World Cup.
The 39-year-old stated this while speaking to reporters, after scoring his 900th career goal as they beat Croatia 2-1 in the UEFA Nations League on Thursday.
Diogo Dalot had given his country the lead, before Ronaldo volleyed in a second.
When asked about what else he wants to achieve in his career after the game, Ronaldo said: “Portugal winning Euros is equivalent to winning a World Cup.
“I’ve already won two trophies for Portugal that I really wanted. I’m not motivated by that.
“I’m motivated by enjoying football and the records come naturally.”
