The Super Eagles of Nigeria flew out to Libya on Sunday morning for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, qualifying match-day four encounter against the Mediterranean Knights.
The team’s charted fight had a stopover in Kano before proceeding to Benghazi.
The Super Eagles were previously scheduled to travel to Tripoli, and then make a two-hour trip by road to Benghazi.
The plan was however later jettisoned to avoid stress for the players and officials.
Libya will host the Super Eagles in Benina on Tuesday.
The ground is 10 kilometers from Benghazi. The encounter will kick-off at 8pm Nigeria time.
