AFCON 2025 qualifier: Eguavoen names Super Eagles’ starting XI against Rwanda

Super Eagles caretaker Augustine Eguavoen has released his starting XI for tonight’s 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matchday six encounter against the Amavubi of Rwanda.

Udinese shot stopper, Maduka Okoye will take place of the bereaved Stanley Nwabali in goal.

Bright Osayi-Samuel will also take the place injured Ola Aina at right-back, while Boavista’s Bruno Onyemaechi keeps his position at left-back.

Captain William Troost-Ekong will partner Gabriel Osho at the heart of the defence.

Frank Onyeka, Alhassan Yusuf and Fisayo Dele-Bashiru will operate in the three-man midfield

Bayer Leverkusen striker, Victor Boniface will lead the attack, and will be supported by Moses Simon and Kelechi Iheanacho

The encounter slated for the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo will start at 5pm Nigeria time.
