EPL Table: Man City overtake Liverpool, now one point behind Arsenal after Brighton win

Manchester City on Thursday night overtook Liverpool in the Premier League table.

This was possible after the Cityzens defeated Brighton 4-0 in an away Premier League tie.

Kevin de Bruyne put Pep Guardiola’s side in front before in the 17 minutes.

Phil Foden then scored a brace as Man City ended the first half 3-0.

However, in the second half, Julian Alvarez then extend City’s lead as the match ended 4-0 I’m favour of the Premier League champions.

TOTAL SPORTS reports that the win over Brighton saw the Etihad club moved to second position on the Premier League table with two points ahead of third placed Liverpool.

They are behind league leaders Arsenal with just a point.

But City have a game in hand and will return to the top of the log if they win the outstanding game.
