Antonio Careca, a Brazil legend, has backed Victor Osimhen to have a positive impact when he leaves Napoli for another club.
Careca praised Osimhen for his incredible performances at Napoli, which helped them win the Scudetto last season with 26 goals in 32 league appearances.
He believes that Osimhen has the potential to continue his impressive form when he eventually moves on to another club.
Careca also expressed his hope that Napoli would find a suitable replacement for the Nigerian striker.
Osimhen, who moved to Napoli from Lille in 2020, has scored a total of 74 goals and provided 18 assists in 129 appearances for the club.
Careca met Osimhen and described him as a respectable boy who did very well with Napoli.
“I hope that he [Osimhen] can continue to do well just like he did in Naples. I met him, he is a respectable boy and he did very well with Napoli, scoring many goals and contributing to the championship victory.
“Should he really leave I believe Napoli can find a new player worthy of Osimhen,” Careca said as quoted by Napoli Magazine.
