AC Milan coach, Stefano Pioli has given reason why Nigerian winger Samuel Chukwueze is not preferred to American’s Christian Pulisic in his starting XI for most of the season.
Pioli included Pulisic once again in his starting XI against Juventus at the weekend as they played 0-0 in the Serie A.
Pulisic was only replaced by Chukwueze with seven minutes left on the clock.
But both players either were not able to make a telling contribution during the encounter.
However, explaining why he Chukwueze can’t bench Pulisic in his squad, Pioli told DAZN: “I liked Pulisic instead.
“Chukwueze is also fine, but at the moment I won’t give up an extra midfielder to play with four attacking players, and therefore Chukwuze is the one sacrificed the most at the moment.”
