UCL: Harry Kane breaks record as Real Madrid fail to beat Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich attacker, Harry Kane, on Tuesday broke a Champions League record after scoring a goal in his side’s semi-final first leg 2-2 draw against Real Madrid on Tuesday.

Goals from Kane, Leroy Sane and Vinicius’ brace saw both teams drew at the Allianz Arena.

Kane scored a penalty during the encounter to take his tally to 43 goals in 43 games for Bayern Munich in all competitions this season.

Kane’s goal against Real Madrid mean, the England international broke the record for the most goal contributions (11) by an English player in a single Champions League campaign.

The former Tottenham Hotspur star has eight goals and three assists in the competition this season.

Kane has now surpassed the likes of Steven Gerrard (10) and David Beckham (10).

Meanwhile, Kane will hope to lead Bayern Munich to victory when they face Madrid in the return leg next week.
