UCL: Top footballer – Michael Owen hails one player as Bayern Munich, Real Madrid draw 2-2

Former Liverpool attacker, Michael Owen, has hailed Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane after the 30-year-old scored a goal against Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League.

Kane netted a penalty against Real Madrid in the Champions League semi-final first leg clash at Allianz Arena on Tuesday night.

The match eventually ended in a 2-2 draw after normal time as Leroy Sane and Vinicius also scored during the encounter.

Speaking on TNT Sports studio, Owen claimed it was ‘never in doubt’ as Kane stepped up to take the penalty.

He also described the England captain as a ‘top footballer’.

“It’s never in doubt when he’s on the penalty spot. He’s a top player,” Owen said.

“He will be pleased to score in a Champions League final.”

Kane will hope to lead Bayern to victory when they face the Los Blancos in the second leg next week in Spain.
