Real Madrid had defeated Cadiz 3-0 at home.
Brahim Diaz, Jude Bellingham and Joselu scored the goals for Carlo Ancelotti’s side.
These results means Real Madrid now have 87 points after 34 fixtures.
Barcelona’s defeat leaves them in third place with 73 points, one less than Girona.
It is the 36th time Real Madrid are lifting the Spanish top-flight league title.
The Los Blancos will host Bayern Munich in the second leg of their Champions League semi-final clash on Wednesday .
The first leg ended in a 2-2 at the Allianz Arena.
