Pep Guardiola, Manchester City manager, has revealed to Sky Sports that in order to clinch the Premier League title, his team must win all remaining fixtures.
Following their 5-1 triumph over Wolves on Saturday, City reduced their gap to Arsenal to just one point since Mikel Arteta’s men secured a 3-0 victory against Bournemouth.
Although City managed to score five goals in their game against Wolves, they still lag six goals behind Arsenal in goal difference.
Guardiola, however, reminds City that the league cannot be won by goal difference, adding that they cannot afford to draw a single game.
He indicated that given Arsenal’s consistently good performance, it will require nothing short of three consecutive wins from City to secure the title.
“Goal difference is not possible, we cannot draw.
“The way Arsenal have been playing has been so good and consistent.
“It’s three games, hopefully we win the first and the second and arrive to the third with our destiny in our own hands,” Guardiola said after the game.
