Ballon d’Or: Rodrygo picks player who deserves to win award this year

Real Madrid star, Rodrygo, has picked his teammate Vinicius Junior as the favorite to win the 2024 Ballon d’Or.

Vinicius led Real Madrid to win the La Liga and UEFA Champions League titles last season.

He hit double digits in both goals and assists across all competitions for Real Madrid.

However, Rodrygo sees Vinicius as the main candidate to win the Ballon d’Or this year.

“We know that Vini is the main candidate to win it [Ballon d’Or] and I support this decision because he is my teammate,” Rodrygo told Globoesporte (via Madrid Universal).

Rodrygo added, “It [Ballon d’Or] is not something that’s my priority, but it’s something every player dreams of.”
