Vinicius Jr has matched a remarkable record set by former Barcelona captain Lionel Messi by scoring for Real Madrid in their UEFA Champions League final win over Borussia Dortmund on Saturday.
The match ended 2-0 for Los Blancos at Wembley Stadium.
Following a scoreless first half, the Los Blancos broke the deadlock in the 74th minute when defender Dani Carvajal headed in from a superb corner delivered by Toni Kroos.
Nine minutes later, Vinicius secured the win with a goal assisted by Jude Bellingham.
Vinicius at 23, has now been directly involved in 22 goals in the Champions League knockout stages, tallying 11 goals and 11 assists.
This achievement puts him on par with Messi, the only other player to reach this milestone before turning 24.
