Former Manchester United defender, Rio Ferdinand has backed Real Madrid to edge Bayern Munich and qualify for the UEFA Champions League final.
Real Madrid will on Wednesday night host Bayern Munich in the Champions League semi-final second leg tie at Santiago Bernabeu.
The first leg ended in a 2-2 draw at Allianz Arena in Germany.
Asked for his prediction, Ferdinand said on TNT Sports that there will be goals.
“I think there will be goals, there are dangerous players on both sides,” Ferdinand said.
“I got tonight’s one wrong, I fancied PSG, but I really genuinely believe that Real Madrid – with that stadium, that history and these players – will get over the line.
“But both teams will be thinking this is a great opportunity. No disrespect to Dortmund but both of these teams will expect to beat them in the final.”
