EPL: Carragher names manager he wants Liverpool to appoint as Klopp’s replacement

Liverpool legend, Jamie Carragher has named Sporting CP boss Ruben Amorim as the manager he wants to replace Jurgen Klopp at Anfield.

Klopp will leave Liverpool at the end of the current season.

The likes of Amorim and Brighton head coach Roberto De Zerbi have been linked to take over from Klopp this summer.

However, Carragher feels Amorim will be a good fit for the Reds because he is a proven winner.

“It looks like he’s the favourite right now, I don’t have any inside information, but reading reports that is what it feels like. Looks like he is on for the double this season,” Carragher said (via The Boot Room).

“I think if Liverpool could bring in a title-winner in his last season in his previous job that could be a very good acquisition for Liverpool if it’s Mr Amorim. I’m maybe more Amorim than De Zerbi.”
