Crystal Palace’s head coach, Oliver Glasner, dissected his team’s impressive 4-0 triumph over Manchester United in the Premier League clash on Monday.
The formidable display saw goals pouring in from Michael Olise, tallying two, Jean-Philippe Mateta, and Tyrick Mitchell, securing a resounding victory for Palace at Selhurst Park.
Reflecting on the match, Glasner highlighted his team’s superior control in the second half compared to the Red Devils.
He emphasized their enhanced consistency in fundamental aspects and their remarkable efficiency against Erik ten Hag’s side.
Glasner told Sky Sports, “I think the first-half, we didn’t really play as well as we could, so it was not that consistent.
“In defence we opened the middle too often and they could find the pockets and we had a little bit of a problem, but we were very efficient, so we scored very nice goals.
“But, at half-time, we made two or three adaptations, the players listened again and in the second-half, we were much better and were in much more control of the game.
“We created a lot of chances, we scored nice goals, but we were a little bit more consistent in our basics and so it’s a great win, and congrats to the team.”
