Leicester City manager, Enzo Maresca will bring back former Chelsea goalkeeper Willy Caballero when his switch to the Premier League west London club is confirmed, according to the UK Metro.
Leicester and Chelsea are in talks over a deal for Maresca, who is now the favourite to replace Mauricio Pochettino at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea have ruled out names like Ipswich Town boss Kieran McKenna and Brentford’s Thomas Frank and are now looking to wrap up a deal for Meresca.
The Italian, who was previously Pep Guardiola’s assistant at Manchester City, ticks all the boxes they are looking for in a young, progressive head coach.
Chelsea will pay around £10million and would also need to secure deals for Maresca’s coaching staff.
Maresca is expected to take his assistant manager, Willy Caballero, who spent four seasons at Chelsea, to the Blues.
Caballero was part of the squads that won the UEFA Champions League and Europa League at Chelsea.
