EPL: Ex-Man Utd star backs former Arsenal manager to replace Ten Hag at Old Trafford

Former Manchester star, Lee Sharps has backed former Arsenal manager Unai Emery to replace Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford.

Ten Hag’s long-term future at Old Trafford is unclear due to the club’s unimpressive form this campaign.

Speaking to DAZN, Sharpe believes Emery, who is the current manager of Aston Villa, will be perfect for United.

“If I were choosing and Erik ten Hag was to go, Unai Emery would be at the top of my list,” Sharpe said.

“I think given the support and the full backing, he could replicate what he’s done at Villa. I think he’d be a class manager for United.”

Man United currently sit in the seven position on the Premier League table after 32 matches.
