British broadcaster, Piers Morgan has named two matches that cost Arsenal the Premier League title to Manchester City.
Recall that Man City won the Premier League title on Sunday ahead of Arsenal after beating West Ham United 3-1 on the last day of the season.
Arsenal won their match 2-1 against Everton, but end up finishing second position on the Premier League table with two points behind Pep Guardiola’s side.
Reacting, Morgan, in a tweet via his X account on Sunday after the Premier League final day fixtures, insisted that Arsenal’s defeats against West Ham and Fulham some months ago cost Mikel Arteta’s side the title.
“Arsenal blew the League in that dismal period between Christmas & New Year when we lost to West Ham & Fulham,” Morgan wrote.
“You can’t do that and expect to beat a side as good, relentless & ruthless as Guardiola’s City. Win either of those relatively easy games & we’d now be Champions.”
