Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has said no player will leave the club following Ilkay Gundogan’s arrival.
The Premier League champions confirmed Gundogan’s return on Friday, only one year after he left for Barcelona as a free agent.
Guardiola, speaking to reporters, insisted that he has a small squad and cannot sanction any departures.
City have only added Savinho to the team, while Julian Alvarez left to join Atletico Madrid.
Guardiola, when asked about players leaving after Gündogan’s arrival, said: “No, everyone stays.
“We do not have the depth of squad, we have 19, 20, 21 players.
“There’s a lot of games and everyone has to fight.”
