Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola, has expressed his regret for letting Jesús Navas leave the club in the past.
The Spaniard sent a warm message to Navas after the former Spain international announced his retirement.
The former Barcelona manager and Navas did not spend too much time together at Etihad.
Navas was only able to play 1,814 minutes across 36 games under Guardiola.
“You don’t know how much I regret letting you go. I would have loved for you to stay longer here, but sometimes you make mistakes,” Guardiola said, as per Mirror.
“Congratulations to all Sevillistas for having had such an extraordinary player and a person who defines Sevillismo. For many years to come, Sevillistas, don’t let him slip away.
“Keep him close and with all of you. Farewell.”
