Manchester City on Saturday moved two points ahead of Arsenal on the Premier League table.
This follows their 4-0 away Premier League win over Fulham.
Joško Gvardiol opened the scoring for Man City on the 13 minutes of the encounter as the first half ended 1-0.
Phil Foden doubled the lead for the visitors in the 59 minutes before Gvardiol scored again for the Premier League champions few minutes later.
However, Julian Alvarez netted a late penalty to give Pep Guardiola’s side all three points against the host.
The result send Man City to top of the Premier League table with two points ahead of Arsenal, who sit in second position after 36 matches.
Arsenal will move top of the table if they beat Man United on Sunday at Old Trafford.
